Joey Bada$$, a native Brooklyn rapper, has named his new album, All AmeriKKKan, in tribute to his late brother Capital Steez, who had made a mixtape called AmeriKKKan Korruption.

Joey’s album, while political in parts, is less political than his brother’s mixtape, and ventures more into personal beliefs. Compared to Joey’s debut album, this project provides a more eccentric tone.

The young rapper applies a harmonic balance between modern music and old school hip hop, as shown in his songs “AmeriKKKan Idol” and “Ring in the Alarm.” The album also includes features from numerous other artists such as J. Cole. Kirk Knight, and Nyck Caution.

Overall the project provides a mellow “head nodding” tone to it. But songs such as “Land of the Free” and “For My People” address issues in society such as police brutality and discrimination between races.
