Coming off of an exciting win against Upper Saint Clair Wednesday night, the boys baseball team is looking to power through the cold tonight against Mt. Lebanon.

The boys defeated Upper St. Clair 3-2 with senior Vince Longo driving in the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Junior Jake Monroe said senior Peter Griener pitched a great game, which contributed to the win. He also said the team’s leaders are seniors Jon Kozarian, Anthony Rago, and Mike Dolan.

One of Mt. Lebanon’s current assistant coaches, Dan Caponi, was previously Baldwin’s coach. The boys said they are excited to face him tonight.

“It would be really cool if we got the win against him,” Kozarian said.

In preparation for tonight’s match-up, the team focused on improving its bunting.

Monroe said the team is going to play hard for another win tonight.

“We are expecting good results tonight because we will have a better mindset to get through the cold,” Monroe said.
