Football team throws support behind Zorro

The Baldwin football team is breaking stereotypical barriers as they are getting involved with Baldwin’s musical Zorro, which opened Wednesday and runs through Saturday.

Junior lineman Charles Harris encouraged his coaching staff and teammates to not only attend the play but also work as ushers and greeters for the production.

“Attending and working the play allows us to build team chemistry, and helps develop a sense of community with the entire student body,” Harris said.

Head football Coach Loran Cooley and Harris informed the team that all players must attend the musical tonight.

“Coach and I felt it would highly benefit the cast to see a full crowd of their peers in the audience. They practice a lot like us, and they deserve to be recognized too,” Harris said.

Harris attended the play opening night and had nothing but praise for the production.

“The show was flawless and I’m almost certain my teammates will enjoy Zorro just as much as I did,” Harris said.
