Baldwin dedicates a week to the arts

To demonstrate appreciation for the arts, Baldwin has designated this ABCD week, standing for art, band, choir, and drama. Each day is being dedicated to a different facet of the arts, ending with an assembly next week.

The assembly will be held in the main gym and will be conducted like a sports pep rally, but will instead focus on each group of students involved in ABCD programs.

Activities Director Chris Reilsono said he hopes this program will place much-needed focus on the talent Baldwin students show through the arts.

“Hopefully, this program will give some of our kids who don’t necessarily get the recognition they deserve a positive forum to truly shine and feel appreciated,” Reilsono said.

Senior arts student Alana Martucci said art is not as emphasized as other subjects in school, so some students may not even realize they have a passion for it.

“If you have a passion for one of the arts, you should pursue it,” Martucci said.
