After a fifth-place finish in Norwin’s boys volleyball tournament, the boys volleyball team is preparing for their first regular season game today at 7 p.m. against Peters.

“(Junior) Mike Goga, (senior) Luke Scherz, and (senior) Chris Collins all played very well. They played with a lot of enthusiasm and energy,” senior Jake Reiss said.

The boys lost 25-20 to Bethel Park in the playoff portion of the tournament.

“We need to work on getting to the ball quicker,” Reiss said.

The boys are preparing for tonight’s game like any other, Reiss said.

“(Freshman) Teddy Boehm is looking good for this year as a new freshman. He is an outside hitter with experience,” Reiss said.

The boys will play their first home game this Thursday against Upper Saint Clair.
