Viall proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi after being rejected two times previously on The Bachelorette.

He made it to the final two contestants on both Andi Dorfman’s and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s seasons of The Bachelorette, only to get sent home both times. Monday night, he sent Raven Gates home without knowing Grimaldi’s answer, an unusual strategy that no doubt left viewers wondering if he was going to be rejected a fourth time..

There is still a lot of skepticism about the relationship because the couple could not figure out where they wanted to live — Canada or the United States.
