Gyros remain a traditional favorite

MacKenzie Sendro, Staff Writer

Old-fashioned Greek food is a traditional favorite for many, but don’t bother trying any other gyro restaurant in town because none can compare to Sparta Gyro’s, located on Brownsville Road in South Park. This well-organized restaurant will always leave diners satisfied. Their menu has a variety for everyone’s taste buds, and is not limited to only gyros. The classic gyro, however, consists of lamb, lettuce, tomato, and a sour cream-like sauce that can be compared to one used for coleslaw. However, it was poorly presented, and it could have been mistaken for a Chipotle burrito. Biting into a Mexican meal when expected Greek food could ruin anyone’s day. Besides its appearance, it is a reasonably priced, filling, last-minute meal that will never go out of style, so there is no need to worry about not being with the trend. It is styled as if the customer is sitting in a café in Rome, and the service provided is nothing other than the best quality. It is also very convenient for anyone in the South Hills, for it is not a far drive, and it is worth every second of it. This is the perfect family-friendly restaurant for anyone looking to widen their cultural food experience.
