Senior Jacob Bostedo, an aspiring rapper, will get the chance to perform at a concert organized by the promotions company Coast 2 Coast Live in Richmond, Va., on Nov. 16.

Coast 2 Coast took entries online from young artists interested in performing at the Richmond concert and others throughout the country. Bostedo entered his song “Lost Conscience,” and earned a spot in the Richmond concert by getting 3,000 online votes.

“I’m excited to be able to perform with a lot of other aspiring artists,” Bostedo said.

Artists chosen to perform have to pay a $300 fee. After Coast 2 Coast Live holds a series of similar concerts all over the country, one winner will earn a $25,000 prize.

Listeners can find “Lost Conscience” on Soundcloud under the account of Dj Deliberate, who produced the track.
