Golf shoots short of win against Mt. Lebanon

The golf team fell just one stroke short of an upset on Tuesday as they fell to Mount Lebanon.

The loss drops the team’s section record to 6-4.

The team was led by seniors Chris Collins, who shot a 42 and Alex Garda, who shot 43.

Junior Gary Lowman also played well. He attributed the team’s success to the home course advantage of South Hills Country Club.

“It is a really tough course to play, and there are a lot of spots where a little mistake can really affect your score,” Lowman said.

The team’s next match is away against Allderdice on Thursday, a team Baldwin has already beaten this season.

“If we worry about one hole at a time and focus on consistency of our putting, we will be pleased with the outcome,” Lowman said.
