The girls varsity tennis team improved its overall record to 5-1 with a win against Plum on Tuesday.

All players won their matches in straight sets without relinquishing a single game.

The team was lead by freshman phenom Bethany Yauch, who has secured the number one varsity spot since the beginning of the season.

“It has been a successful season so far, and if we continue to work on our skills every practice and listen to our coaches, there will be a great outcome,” Yauch said.

Captains Kyleigh Schmidt, Nadine Khalil, and Sam Rock also played exceptionally well while being influential leaders to the underclassmen, Yauch said.
