The softball team has repeated as co-section champs, compiling a 10-2 section record and sharing the title with Canon-McMillan.

Baldwin defeated Canon McMillan by a score of 11-2 on Saturday and then defeated Bethel Park by a score of 8-1 on Tuesday in the final home game of the season.

Last year, Baldwin tied for the section championship with Canon-Mac and Bethel Park.

Since falling to Canon-Mac in a game on April 20, the girls haven’t lost.  They outscored opponents 56-4 during the five-game winning streak.

“We became more focused down the stretch, and played very well together,” sophomore Carly Santillo said.

The final game of the regular season is a non-section match-up today against North Allegheny, the team that knocked Baldwin out of the playoff last year.
