The high school drumline and color guard indoor teams both won first place in their divisions during a championship competition over the weekend.

This was the fourth competition for each team, and the fourth win as well.

Robbie Cortese, James Stumpf, and Nolan Foster were the seniors on the indoor drumline. Sophomore Cory Berger said the seniors were essential to the team’s success.

“They were really important to us. They led the line a lot,” Berger said.

Berger also applauded Lorry and Diane Yednak, the husband-and-wife coaches of drumline and guard. This is their 22nd and final year coaching the teams.

“I just want to thank them for the many years of teaching. They will be greatly missed,” he said.
