After a rough start to the boys baseball season, the boys won their first section game on Tuesday, defeating Upper St. Clair, 3-2.

“This game was a hundred times better than all of our other games. We actually had fun playing,” junior Jon Kozarian said.

“We hit the ball, (senior) Sean Kealey pitched very well, and we had a lot less errors in the field and played very good defense. Everything we did we needed to do to win,” Kozarian said.

“This was a must-win game because all of the teams in our section are equally matched,” Kozarian said.

Upper St. Clair’s pitcher is a Division I prospect.

“Hopefully we can keep this momentum in our next game and have a snowball effect,” Kozarian said.

The boys are now 1-2 in their section, and 2-4 overall.
