The boys lacrosse team captured its first win of the season by defeating North Hills 12-8 on Friday.

The team’s offense was led by the starting attackers Colton Abate and Alex Murray. Colton netted six goals, while Murray recorded four more.

“We finally played to our capabilities. The team really pulled together, and the communication is what led us to this victory,” Abate said.

The defense also made a stand, letting up one of the lowest goal totals of the season. The defense cleared the ball well and helped secure time of possession.

The boys will need a similar effort when they face the Moon Tigers on Wednesday.

“They are one of the top teams on our schedule, this year so we will need to bring our `A’ game,” Abate said.
