After a successful year, the Robotics Club finished out its season with a thirteenth place ranking at the Bots IQ battle bots competition.

“I’m really proud of the work we did this year. I think the club did very well since we got a high place,” junior Danny McGervey said.

The club won three rounds and lost two. They fell to Plum, the reigning champions, in the second round of the competition. They went on to win against Clairton and lose to Canon-Mac.

“I think one of the reasons we lost those two fights was because our robot was too defensive,” McGervey said.

This year was the most successful for the club in terms of competitions and places, and club members are looking forward to more success in the future.
