The boys volleyball pulled off a come-from-behind victory Tuesday over Central Catholic.

The boys lost the first game, then won the second, but lost the third. In the fourth game, the Highlanders were down by seven and facing a possible loss, but the boys came back and won 26-24. They won the fifth game 15-12 to take the match.

“The match went pretty well,” senior Peter Wright said. “A lot of the newer players got experience on varsity.”

Wright said sophomore Ben Remlinger, sophomore Mike Goga, junior Luke Scherz, and senior Jeff Wallander all had strong games.

This was the team’s first game, and a section game as well. It was Coach Eric Falcione’s 200th career win as the coach of the Highlanders.

The team plays away at Gateway on Monday.

“We beat them last year, so we plan to do the same this year,” Wright said.
