Despite the rough performance, there were still some bright spots.

Baldwin baseball lost 13-9 in a conference matchup against Central Catholic on Tuesday at home.

While Baldwin managed to score nine runs, the Vikings’ offense became too much for the Highlanders.

Senior Adam Ledbetter went three for four during the game with two singles and a home run.

“I played really well at the plate, but overall I can be better,” Ledbetter said.

The team also had strong hitting performances from freshman Matthew Musial, who went two for four with two singles.

Central hit the ball well, though, and Baldwin made some key errors.

The team will have a third chance against Central again on Thursday and hope to take one game out of the three-game series.
