The World Series looks to be an exciting matchup.

No one would have predicted after the 2022 MLB season that two teams from the bottom tier would make the World Series this year.

The World Series is set to begin on Friday night, in which the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks will meet in a seven-game series. These two teams both struggled last year, as they both finished in the bottom two teams of their divisions.

But this year is a lot different, as both teams were able to improve their records and make the playoffs. They also have gone on unbelievable runs in the playoffs this year.

The Rangers, throughout the playoffs, have only lost three games, and all of them were to a very strong team, the Houston Astros. Every series before that, they earned a sweep.

The Rangers’ lineup has been incredible, as their elite players have certainly shown up in the playoffs.

Two all-stars, in Adolis Garcia and Corey Seager, have been crushing the ball, as they both have a batting average over .300. Seager is leading the team with at .333, and Garcia is at .327.

Garcia has been shining throughout the entire playoffs, as he has put up seven home runs and 20 runs batted in, which are both leading the league throughout the playoffs.

Starting Pitcher Nathan Eovaldi has been easily the best starter in the playoffs. He has the most wins in the playoffs, which is four, and he is second in the strikeout category with 28.

This is the Rangers first time making the World Series since 2011, so they are definitely going to come out swinging the bats as they usually do.

For the Diamondbacks, this young and talented team has definitely shocked the world. Coming off of a big Game 7 win against the Phillies, the Diamondbacks are going to have all the momentum they need to compete with the Rangers, as the Phillies had a powerhouse lineup.

The young stars in Arizona have been putting on a show offensively and defensively. Corbin Carroll and Alek Thomas both contributed heavily against the Phillies.

One veteran who sticks out for the Diamondbacks is Ketel Marte, as he leads the playoffs with a .358 batting average and is second in hits with 19.

Closing Pitcher Paul Sewald has been outstanding in the playoffs, as he has six saves, which is the most out of any closer in the playoffs.

The last time the Diamondbacks made the World Series was in 2001, where they took home the win.

Both teams have much momentum going into this series, as they are coming off of Game 7 wins.

The Rangers will definitely take this series, as their offense will be too much for the Diamondbacks. And they won’t need more than six games.

The series will definitely be fun to watch, and will have many people excited to see which team can end their unbelievable run with the trophy.
