The boys volleyball team got shut out by Moon Township on Tuesday, 3-0.

Junior Anup Gurung thought that Moon was a strong team, but Baldwin managed to remain competitive.

“The other team was just really skilled. They were all well-rounded players and didn’t make very many mistakes. I’m proud that we kept up with them the whole game,” Gurung said.

Gurung said if the team wants to close out the season strong, then they have to make some improvements.

“We need to do better at blocking and hitting. We had to tip the ball to earn most of our points because the other team was really good at blocking. We need to do that too going forward,” Gurung said.

Junior Bibeak Bhujel said junior Logan Pack put in a good effort.

“Logan did really well. He was in positions he usually doesn’t play and he was moving the whole time. I think he did really well with the challenge he faced,” Bhujel said.

Pack was somewhat surprised by the outcome.

“We were a bit surprised to lose. It was a really hard-fought match. It could’ve gone either way,” Pack said. “We played pretty good defense, but we need to do better offensively.”

The loss brings the team’s record to 2-10.

The boys’ next game is home Thursday against Canon-McMillan.
