With the Pittsburgh Pirates looking like the best team in all of Pittsburgh, it was only a matter of time before they locked up their star for years to come.

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Bryan Reynolds agreed on an eight-year, $106 million contract today. This deal is the largest in Pirates history and gives hope to fans that this could be a top team in the league.

This comes after the Pirates have gone on their best win streak in five years and stand at the top of the National League. They have the second-best record in the MLB.

This comes almost a year after the Pirates re-signed Ke’Bryan Hayes for eight years and makes it look like they will be the faces of the Pirates looking to the future.

The Pirates have looked strong to start out the season and resigning their best player will only make everyone play better knowing that this could be the team of the future. Everyone seems to have chemistry and no one tries to do too much.

Reynolds so far is hitting around .300 with five home runs and 18 RBIs. He is a veteran presence and looks like one of the best players in the league through the first few weeks of the year.

After last year’s trade rumors, locking him up for the future is a great move, showing teams that the Pirates have left the rebuilding era and look to the future.

The Pirates are one of the youngest teams in the MLB and look like they are America’s team this year. With their new sword celebration and young culture, they look like they could be building a future face of the league.

The Pirates now hope to build off the momentum of their win streak and the excitement that Bryan Reynolds is in it for the long run.
