The boys volleyball team lost 3-0 to Seneca Valley on Monday.

Junior Anup Gurung thought that the loss was to be expected, especially with the team’s poor performance throughout the game.

“The other team was just better overall. They were a really strong team and outplayed us in just about every way,” Gurung said.

Gurung also thought that this loss will be a wakeup call for the team, which still has work to do to turn its season around.

“Overall, we need to improve on just about everything. But we definitely need to work on our defense. It just needs to be stronger if we want to have a chance to win,” Gurung said.

Junior Ryan Shaneman acknowledged the strengths and weaknesses of the team.

“We did a decent job establishing a block, that was our strongest point during the game,” Shaneman said. “The other team did really well at most things. They got passes when they needed to and they had good blocks.”

Baldwin’s record is currently 2-11.

The team’s next match is at home on Thursday against Upper Saint Clair.
