The baseball team earned a big victory over Central Catholic, 2-1, on Tuesday.

Junior Dylan Lacher was proud of his teammates, seniors Christian Forgacs and Carson Chapel.

“Carson pitched great and Christian defensively was pretty solid,” Lacher said.

Lacher also contributed.

“I went 2-3 in my at bats with two singles and a walk,” Lacher said.

The Baldwin runs were scored by Lacher and junior Jack Naret, with the RBIs being earned by Michael Leonhardt and Adam Ledbetter.

Sophomore catcher Matt Nowicki said the team played well all around.

“We pitched, hit, and played very well. I’m really proud of our progress,” Nowicki said.

With the encouraging win, the team hopes to keep the momentum going.

“We played well and we need to do it again in order to win,” Nowicki said.

The team plays against Central Catholic High School today at 4:00 p.m.
