The boys varsity volleyball team competes during the spring sports season.

The boys volleyball team fell to Canon-McMillan 3-0 at an away game on Tuesday.

One of the reasons for the defeat is that Baldwin “had a disadvantage in height,” senior hitter Max Tiriobo said. He said the Highlanders could have also “done better on hitting.”

Senior defensive specialist Ronit Giri said the Highlanders could improve on their blocks.

Despite the loss, Tiriobo said Baldwin did well with their defense. Giri agreed.

“We received the ball really well in this game,” Giri said. “And our libero was really good.”

Tiriobo and Giri both commended junior Bibeak Bhujel.

“He was really good because he picked up every single ball that was thrown to him,” Giri said.

The team’s next game is tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Bethel Park High School.
