The boys volleyball team fell to both Upper Saint Clair and Moon Township over spring break.

They played Upper Saint Clair on April 4 and Moon on Thursday.

Although the battle against Upper Saint Clair did not end in Baldwin’s favor, this game was moving in a positive direction for the players. Senior Max Tiriobo believes the team worked well together.

“In the game against Upper Saint Clair, we did everything well and as a team we were definitely well rounded,” Tiriobo said.

Tiriobo commended junior Logan Pack.

“Logan Pack got a lot of nice hits during both games,” Tiriobo said.

The match against Moon Township provided the team with both good moments and ways to improve on their skills. Senior Justin Shaneman feels that the game was not a normal one.

“Everyone was just physically exhausted, so it was an off game,” Shaneman said.

The team fell in the first set 19-25, followed up by two more close losses.

Despite the loss, Shamenamn believes senior Logan O’Donnell played well for their team.

“Logan O’Donnell was the standout player. He executed everything well,” Shaneman said.

The team takes this loss as motivation for the future, building a desire to strive harder in practices to perform better in games.

The next game is tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Canon-McMillan.
