The boys tennis team lost both of their matches over spring break, falling Thursday to Central Catholic, 3-2, and Monday to Allderdice, 4-1.
In both matches, the team put up a fight but could not come through in big moments, senior Braden Yokopenic said.
The singles matches provided strong moments for the Highlanders.
“We performed better in singles, and we were able to stay strong mentally throughout our matches,” Yokopenic said.
He said senior David Werner stood out most with his impressive play.
“David has been playing his best tennis recently and won his first singles match of the season, which was a two-hour long match,” Yokopenic said.
Their next match is Wednesday against Norwin.
