Boys volleyball loses to TJ

Sophomore Blaine Rigby hits at Thomas Jefferson from the outside

The boys volleyball team lost 3-0 against Thomas Jefferson High School on Monday.

While it was not their best performance, the match was closer than the score indicated.

“I don’t think our team performed bad at all, but we could have still performed better,” sophomore Anjal Gurung said.

He said that junior Logan Pack had a particularly strong game.

“He was blocking really well and had a lot of hits,” he said.

Gurung said that the team needs to keep a better mindset throughout the match.

“We need to stop being too negative about one mistake,” he said.

The Highlanders’ next game is today against Upper Saint Clair.
