Baldwin boys ice hockey lost 7-6 against North Allegheny on Monday.

Senior Brady Zofcin believes the team struggled near the beginning of the game.

“We came out slowly and we were all over the place. Our minds were not focused in the first period,” Zofcin said.

Despite the rough start, Zofcin feels that the team played well near the end of the game and nearly made a comeback.

“We never gave up, especially going into the third period. We were down 6-3 and we almost came back,” Zofcin said.

Zofcin cites senior goaltender Alex Golvash as a standout player due to his various saves throughout the game.

This was the final game for the boys ice hockey team this season, but Zofcin feels the team is capable of having a strong season next year.

“The program is getting smaller, but there are still a lot of talented guys and if they play the right way and listen to the coach, they will still have a good chance,” Zofcin said.
