The Baldwin bowling qualified for regionals after placing seventh out of 25 teams at their match on Wednesday.

Senior Bobby Benton said sophomore Jon Clemons stood out.

“He averaged 207 for the day,” Benton said.

Benton said the team is capable of doing well, but they need to work on its consistency.

“Consistency is the biggest thing. We all need to consistently bowl three solid games each,” Benton said. “We can’t have an off game or it could hurt our total.”

Sophomore Brady Malloy thinks everyone did well overall, but said there were some standouts.

“Jon Clemons did the best. He had a 265 in one game,” Malloy said.

The team’s next match will be regionals, which will be held March 3. The top eight teams there move on to states.
