The girls basketball team defeated Canon-Mac 55-32 on Friday night.

The girls maintained the lead throughout the game, which was also their Senior Rec night.

“The team performed as a well organized team and the energy from the floor to the bench was crazy,” senior Gianna Schoeb said.

Schoeb felt that Senior Rec made a big impact on the game.

“Senior rec night was amazing,” Schoeb said. “My team made it so great. I think it affected the game by everyone knowing that it’s all coming to an end, but that made us have fun with it.”

Schoeb commended junior Katie Lucarelli on her performance.

The girl’s record is 8-9 and they have earned a spot in the playoffs

“We look forward to seeing how far we can go, and we continue to improve,” Schoeb said.

The Highlanders’ next game is today at Bethel Park.
