The girls and boys swim team both lost to Central Catholic on Monday night, but Baldwin swimmers held strong finishes.

Junior Kassidy Rohland is still proud of everyone who competed, regardless of the scores.

“I think we did the best we could. I think cheering for each other really helped us, but we went up against a really good school,” Rohland said.

Rohland said that teammate Evan Stokes stood out the most.

Junior Evan Stokes took first place in the 200 freestyle relay by making improvements.

“We really improved on holding our breaths longer, which helped win the relay,” Stokes said.

Stokes follows advice from his coach to keep trying his best, and to keep the same mindset he has had.

The team’s next meet is Friday, February 3, at Gateway High School.
