Baldwin girls basketball fell to Chartiers Valley on Monday with a score of 59-51.

Due to Baldwin’s slow start, the team was down by 10 points.

“We should have started off with faster momentum. We started off slow down 10,” Sophomore Mary Vargo said.

Junior Katie Lucarelli agreed.

“When Chartiers pulled the lead, we had to come back and break the gap.”

Baldwin had a tough time offensively, being unable to make shots when needed.

“We could have worked the ball around more,” Lucarelli said.

Though they did not start off the game well, the team was able to push through their struggles and stay driven throughout.

“We did not stop–we just kept going the whole game,” Vargo said.

Even through their difficulties, Vargo kept hustling and always brought energy to the team, Lucarelli said.

The team plans to keep their drive and improve offensively for their next game at home on Friday against Canon-McMillan.
