The wrestling team took 5th place in their tournament this weekend against 19 other schools.

Senior John Starusko thought the team performed decently.

“I think we performed well,” Starusko said. “We have some things to work on at practice.”

Junior Keith Mincin said a few teammates performed well at the tournament.

Sophomore Ramil Islamov and Junior Owen Klodowski both won first place in their division.

Even with falling short of an overall win, the team still had fun during the tournament.

“(During) warm ups, we were just having fun with each other and messing around a bit,” Mincin said.

Starusko said the team enjoyed spending the hour and a half long bus ride together.

The wrestling team has their next match on Wednesday against Canon McMillian at 7:00pm.
