The Baldwin bowling team defeated Thomas Jefferson 2-1 on Wednesday.

“We won the first one by 78 pins and the second one by about 100 or so,” senior bowler Bobby Benton said. “I did not perform my best, but I still held a solid average.”

The team was down a varsity player going into the game, so they entered the lanes with a few nerves.

“We had to bring up Nick Faust to play on varsity. Nick stepped up and really got the job done,” Benton said.

Benton also cited senior Nolan Malloy and his brother, sophomore Brady Malloy, as the standout players of the matches.

“They both had extremely impressive performances,” Benton said.

Although there have only been three matches so far this year, the team has been performing consistently and diligently throughout all of them this season.

“I think if we just stay consistent, there is no one that can beat us,” Benton said.

The bowling team’s next game is next Wednesday against Seton LaSalle at Legacy Lanes.
