Louis Tomlinson disappoints with a highly anticipated album, Faith in the future.

Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson’s new album, Faith in the Future, falls short of fan expectations.

It has been two years since Tomlinson put out an album, and it is unfortunately not worth the anticipation. A recurring issue within the album is that all the songs sound similar to one another, which gives the album a uniform feel.

None of the songs in the album stand out. The album solely consists of similar-sounding rhythms and mediocre vocals.

Though Tomlinson maintaining his relevance since leaving One Direction is impressive, this album is not. This album gives a 2013 feel, which this current generation has grown out of.

Tomlinson’s voice is monotone throughout the album, which does not bring forth any jaw-dropping musicality whatsoever. In the song “Saturday” he sounds as if he is speaking throughout the whole song.

Overall, the album is boring and unremarkable, which is unfortunate given Tomlinson’s legacy prior to his solo career.
