Westside Gunn has released his third studio album this year and it has once again exceeded expectations.

10 by Westside Gunn is another exquisite piece from one of rap’s finest artists. With his talent, every album Westside Gunn releases has his fans excited like kids on Christmas morning.

The production alone on this album is masterful, with Conductor Williams and The Alchemist producing some of the most classy and calm beats to ever be released.

Gunn’s music has revitalized the ’90s boom bap style and brought back the NYC Beast Coast hip-hop movement as a whole. Gunn’s lyricism also helps further push this classy feeling with constant references to pop culture phenomena and high fashion.

Despite how great the production is for nearly every song, on the song “Mac Don’t Stop” the production is weak. Gunn overuses this fire alarm-type sound effect that annoys more listeners than the few it appeals to.

Gunn also features many talented artists, including some from his own label, Griselda. The artists featured are A$ap Rocky, Stove God Cooks, Rome Streetz, AA Rashid, Estee Nack, Keisha Plum, Dj Drama, Run The Jewels, Benny The Butcher, Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Black Star, Conway The Machine, Armani Caesar, and his own daughter, Westside Pootie.
