Both the boys and girls cross country teams finished in the top ten at the Bald Eagle Invitational at White Oak Park on Saturday.

Freshman Julianne Ott finished 10th overall among female runners, and senior Andrew Barrett finished eighth among male runners.

Overall, Barrett said the boys team did well, especially since it started raining while they were running.

“And since it rained the day before the meet and the track was slippery, we all had to slow down a little so we wouldn’t slip,” he said.

Ott said the girls team did well also.

“I think a lot (of female runners) had PRs that day, even though it was rainy and cold. Everyone pushed through and had a good race,” Ott said.

Ott complemented Barrett’s willpower on being able to push through the rain and have a good race.

Barret complimented Ott on her talent and skills as a freshman.

“Jules Ott has been surprising me a lot because she’s been doing really well as a freshman. I think she has good potential in this team in the next few years,” Barrett said.
