The Baldwin boys soccer team lost 5-0 to Canon-McMillan on Tuesday.

Junior Dang Le said the team was unable to connect passes and get into a rhythm. Junior Collin Belan said the team needs to be more intense while playing.

“It’s hard to win and be competitive when not everyone has the intensity,” Belan said.

Despite the loss, the team was focused and made smart plays, Le said.

“I think the team played really well,” Le said. “We just didn’t score.”

Le said junior Jake Kunzman played particularly well for the Highlanders.

“Jake was dominant on defense,” he said.

Le said the team was able to keep its energy high, even though they were losing.

The loss taught the team what they need to work on for their next game, Le said. Their next game is against Mount Lebanon on Thursday, the night of the Homecoming bonfire.
