The Baldwin football team fell to Upper Saint Clair 53-14 on Friday.

The Highlanders stayed strong in the first half, but began to lose their grip on the game in the second.

“Coming out of halftime slow and allowing them to score is what changed the momentum of the game,” senior lineman Bobby Benton said.

The team could continue improvements by staying disciplined throughout the game and reducing the number of penalties taken.

The Highlanders, however, still had a memorable game, and there were moments that allowed for their skills to still shine through despite the loss.

“We started off hot and really maintained the clock,” Benton said.

Junior running back/linebacker Andrew Sharp was the standout player of the game for Baldwin, Benton said.

“He ran the ball really hard and broke a lot of tackles,” Benton said.

The next game will be at North Allegheny on Friday.
