The boys track team will compete in the WPIAL playoffs on Wednesday.

Senior Dom Ditoro is excited for the playoffs and is looking forward to competing in the 800 meter and the 4×800 relay.

“I think our team as a whole will have a really good meet and we will fight tooth and nail to try to advance,” Ditoro said.

Senior Kevin Weber said the team has been getting ready.

“I’ve been trying to practice my hardest, but it’s been tough since we have so many meets recently,” Weber said.

Weber said Butler is expected to be one of the strongest teams at the meet.

“They have the best runner in every event. He’s the fastest in the 100, 200, and the 400. He dominates every event and it’s just amazing to see, but we just want to beat him,” Weber said.

Senior Shajit Pokwal identified other strong schools that will be at the playoffs.

“I think Norwin and Canon Mac are big competition for us other than Bulter,” Pokwal said.
