Running out of TV shows and movies to stream? The Purbalite is here to help, with another installment of our What to Binge Watch feature.

Viewers who are looking for a lighthearted comedy with important life lessons should binge watch Boy Meets World.

Boy Meets World follows Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage, along with his family and friends. The series aired from September 1993 to May 2000. All seven seasons can be found on Disney+.

The show follows Matthews growing up with his best friend Shawn Hunter, played by Rider Strong, and love interest Topanga Lawrence, played by Danielle Fishel. Mr. Feeny, a teacher played by William Daniels, follows the three best friends throughout the entire show.

The show begins with the characters in sixth grade, and it follows them all the way through college. They create new friendships, learn important lessons, and grow up together.

The show models a close-knit family including father Alan Matthews, played by William Russ, mother Amy Matthews, played by Besty Randlel, and brother Eric Matthews, played by Will Friedle.

Boy Meets World addresses real-life problems that remain relevant to many viewers today, while keeping it lighthearted with jokes throughout the show.

The relationships portrayed throughout the show all show the value of true friendship and family, as the whole cast goes through their lives and different challenges.

Fans may want to know that Disney produced a spinoff 14 years later called Girl Meets World. That show is similar to Boy Meets World  as it addresses important life lessons, but has a different plot line.

Overall, Boy Meets World is a lighthearted, funny show that teaches its viewers life lessons.
