Boys volleyball defeats Keystone Oaks

The boys volleyball team won 3-1 against Keystone Oaks on Monday.

The team’s players are happy about their first win of the season.

“Everyone did their part and we had some really good swings,” sophomore Annan Gurung said.

The Highlanders did a good job with their setting, Gurung said.

“We got a lot of hits off the sets that game,” he said.

Junior Max Tiriobo agreed that the team did well.

“I think we had more experience than the other team,” he said.

Gurung also said that the team had more confidence.

“Right before this game, we won a few games at the tournament we played at,” he said.

Gurung said while Baldwin won this game, there are still improvements to be made.

“Passing and blocking could still use some work. Some of the blocks were a little slow, but we’re working on that right now,” he said.

Their next game is on Thursday against South Fayette.
