Boys volleyball falls to Moon

Sophomore setter Rohan Bhattarai sets the ball to Junior Max Turiobo.

The boys volleyball team fell to Moon Township on Tuesday.

They lost 3-1, although the scores were close: 21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 17-25.

Sophomore Bibeak Bhujel said the team tried its best throughout the competition.

“We had some really nice hits,” he said.

Senior Niraj Thapa agreed.

“Our setters did very well yesterday. The bad passes made it difficult for our setters to create good sets, but them adjusting to the passes and making something out of a bad play was a positive take away from yesterday,” he said.

Thapa said Moon Township simply outplayed the Highlanders.

“They were the better team yesterday. They did everything well that we did not, like communicating, passing, hitting and working hard for the points,” he said.

Bhujel said the team needs to improve on several things, such as serving and passing.

The team’s next game is today against Canon Mac.
