Baldwin girls lacrosse lost 16-5 to Canon-Mac on Tuesday.

“We got the first goal of the game and quickly got our other goals, but we need to do better on marking players on defense, which was our weakest point,” junior midfielder Cadence Morton said.

Although the Highlanders struggled with their defense, they did well with some aspects of their offense.

“We did well at transitioning the ball up the field, getting ground balls, and getting more possession on offense,” Morton said.

Junior Abby Hutchinson and Kaitlyn Porter were some of the standout players, Morton said.

“They are always working hard and are where they need to be at all times,” she said.

There have been improvements made compared to their earlier games.

“I definitely think we have been improving from our first few games, but we still have a lot of work to do,” said Morton

Hutchinson agreed.

“It went well. We put in a lot of effort, and even though we lost, everyone was proud of how we played,” Hutchinson said.
