Underground “PluggnB” rapper Iayze capitalizes on newfound fame with banger trap album, Virtuous.

Many artists, including Iayze, recently have found TikTok to be the best marketing strategy. Recently, Iayze’s “556 (Green Tip),” a song on this album, has done immense numbers on the app.

“Chop Out” has the best beat on the album, but the vocals over it are poorly mixed. Despite the mix being bad, it still works. The words are not very comprehensible on first listen, but the vocal performance seems to aid the melody.

“Look At Them …” is the album’s best overall song. Iayze has his most energetic performance here compared to his more slurred vocals in other songs.

The biggest problem with this album is Iayze’s struggle to make songs over two and a half minutes long. This issue is prevalent in his niche of underground artists and does not come as much of a surprise on this project.

This album’s sound will attract those who like artists such as Pi’erre Bourne, Playboi Carti, and Trippie Redd.
