Overall, this is a fun, digestible EP to listen to while going on a walk.

The four songs that make up the new EP from the criminally underrated indie band Pom Poko last just 14 minutes, but are worth every minute.

“Time” has the most infectious chorus on the record followed by an outro guitar solo. Its playful and rebellious tone leaves listeners dancing.

“Our House” begins with a single distorted chord followed by several others in a groggy, off-tempo manner. Just when listeners think the song goes somewhere, the almost disorienting instrumentation returns.

Though the track drags on and is a low point, the quality is still present everywhere else.

“Sonatina” features an excellent vocal performance by the lead singer over sounds of birds chirping and soft instrumentation.

“Enduro Corner” is a poppier, upbeat song  with an element of catchiness most can enjoy.

Glimpses of Stereolab and Deerhoof can be heard throughout this project.
