The boys basketball team dropped two games over the weekend, falling to USC and Blackhawk.

In their second matchup of the season against Upper St Clair, Baldwin boys basketball had a cold start on Friday and ultimately fell short, 60-49.

Junior James Wesling said the team needed to have a stronger start.

“We came out slow in the beginning,” Wesling said.

Upper St. Clair came out at the start with a 9-0 run. Baldwin then put up six points, but then they started slowing down again.

In Saturday’s game against Blackhawk, the Highlanders fell in a close game, 64-59.

Baldwin’s record dropped to 9-8 on the year and 3-3 in section  play.

The Highlanders’ next game is home on Tuesday against Mt. Lebanon at 7:30 p.m.
