Winterfest is being hosted by Junior class.

Junior class officers have organized a fun way to send juniors off to winter break.

Winterfest will be held on Thursday, the final day before the break. During homeroom, juniors will be able to participate in activities such as musical chairs, cookie decorating, and a “snowball fight” – which will be a dodgeball game.

For those who are not interested in participating, there will be room in the cafeteria to watch movies, color, or play board games. There will also be treats like hot chocolate.

Junior class officer Sophia Kozar said that they have been planning the Winterfest since the beginning of the month.

“We wanted the whole grade to have fun for the holidays,” Kozar said.

“Throughout the year we are hoping to do other activities like this, maybe in February,” junior class sponsor Richard Deemer said.

While Winterfest is for juniors, the other classes can consider similar events. Dr. Dan Harrold, senior class co-sponsor, said the seniors are doing just that.

“They hope to do something in the auditorium, maybe watching a movie and having hot chocolate,” Harrold said.
