Junior Dillon DiGiannurio and sophomore Owen Klodowski helped lead Baldwin’s varsity wrestling team to victory on Wednesday over West Mifflin, 42-27.

Both DiGiannurio and Klodowski pinned their opponents.

“It felt really good,” DiGiannurio said.

DiGiannurio said practice has helped him compete in a higher weight class.

“I have bigger partners than me and it helps me a lot. I’m 170 but I wrestle in the 189 weight class,” he said.

DiGiannurio said Klodowski has put together some strong matches so far.

“Owen’s doing pretty good. He’s training hard,” DiGiannurio said.

He praised the team’s progress so far, but said there are a few things to work on.

“The team’s doing pretty good. We need a little bit more stamina for the smaller guys, though,” he said.
