Baldwin girls volleyball lost 3-0 to Moon on Thursday.

Even though Baldwin lost all three sets, senior Taylor Binek, a defensive specialist, said the team stayed consistent throughout the sets and kept their heads up.

“The energy on and off the court got a lot better throughout the sets with smiles on everyone’s faces,” Binek said.

Even though the Highlanders did not perform as well as they hoped to, they were satisfied with the improvements they made throughout the sets. Although struggling in the first two sets, the team achieved a closer score in the last set of 25-18.

According to seniors Alayna Meis and Binek, sophomore Brynn Seaman stood out the most when she joined the game later on in the match.

“She knew where to place the ball and was always on her feet ready to go after the ball,” Meis said.

Meis said she believes the team can work more on improving hitting and defense to better their overall game.

The next volleyball game is Thursday at Canon-Mac.
