The Netflix series Vincenzo is different from most K-dramas because it adds in a mafia theme and is more focused on the timeline than a typical romance.

The show focuses on a boy who is adopted by a member of the Italian mafia and who is then introduced to that world. After his adopted father dies and the mafia factions begin a war, he heads to Korea and becomes a Korean-Italian mafia lawyer, Vincenzo Cassano. He then finds his love and works to defeat their enemies.

The characters’ hair is up when they are being portrayed as the bad guy and their hair is down when they are doing a good deed. The viewers can see the change happening throughout the episodes, which makes this show light-hearted.

The scenes where Vincenzo is talking to people in Italy were not filmed there; he did not have to fly abroad. Vincenzo (Song Joong Ki) impressed his viewers by acting in front of the green screen and the scenes were so detailed that people would not have guessed that he did that. Joong Ki had also taken Italian lessons, so he could make it as realistic as possible.

The character’s acting is very natural and enthusiastic, and there are many plot twists and a lot of character development throughout the episodes. With summer around the corner, it is a great show to binge-watch because each episode is an hour-long and can keep people from being bored.
